  • Women leaders’ capacity building

We provide capacity-building sessions for women leaders such as FGS and FMS women parliaments, ministers, deputy and state ministers, director generals, commissioners, founders, CEOs, directors of programs, and coordinators. Sessions that involve workshops, program trainings, and other modalities to empower female workers and reduce gender disparities and stereotypes. This includes activities such as leadership workshops, networking opportunities, targeted organizational support, and initiatives that catalyze positive community change.

We provide women leaders technical support and training, such as workshops designed to enhance their capacity on the core function of legislatures, including key tools and strategies to influence the legislative agenda; providing members with strategies to influence the legislative agenda, particularly focusing on how and analyze and review the impact of legislation on women; shifting discriminatory gender norms through consensus building, dialogues, and capacity building initiatives to support greater women’s participation in politics and governance.

  • Technical and vocational training

SWEC provide technical and vocational skills trainings for women with no educational background and those with limited educational qualifications hands-on instruction in practical skills to help them gain the knowledge and experience necessary to pursue a career in a trade. This type of training often includes basic literacy and numeracy skills, as well as teaching in-demand vocational skills such as cake baking and pastry making, coffee making skills, Catering, Make-up skills, garment making, soap and detergent making,  photo and video production and more. Additionally, vocational skills training may include job placement assistance depending on availability and other resources to help women find and secure employment in their chosen fields.

We build technical and vocational skills training for women with no or limited educational background by creating tailored training programs that focus on skillsets that are relevant to the local economy, providing access to mentors and resources, and often support and guidance to help women develop their skills. We also ensure that the training is accessible and sustainable to attend by providing flexible learning options.
